ReplyDeleteDisgruntled yes some of the readers and writers are disgruntled about the actions of the City of Grand Terrace in the past. Most are still trying to make things better for the citizens and individual property and business owners.
ReplyDeleteYou know like when a local association's news letter editor didn't want Manhole Covers built in his neighborhood. or when the city was threatening to use Eminent Domaine to move people off of their family homes, or when the city purchased a home for Tom Schwab transfering a home from RDA to City Ownership after the deal was already signed by the then mayor, or when criminal investigations are halted by Tom Schwab and later disclosed in the PRESS FIRST not the blog you so much hate, during the combat for the job of City Manager, or do you mean the 177,000.00 pay off that Tom Schwab called hush money, to keep his mouth shut, in addition to the more than hefty retirement package he negotiated for himself? Which is it you would like to support? What are you in favor of?
Could it be your in favor of using law enfocement and inflated charges for political purposes? Could it be your not interested in understanding the why people are coerced into being a collaborator. Often people surrender their judgement because they themself have something they are hiding, like income and attitudes that are not declared in public.
Or do you support a council member stripping a citizen of their right to address the City Council just because she was insulted after she started a conversation with a citizen?
Just wondering what it is you support or think is ok to print in the NEWS Papers and not have in a blog, supported with additional documents, and evaluated by the blog readers?
Or is it you don't like the results of the past election? This blog's name calling suggests it did not and does not support Walt Stanckiewits for Mayor. Who was your candidate? Are your blog efforts actually helping him or her, or causing them harm?
Or is it you don't like the possibility that the Chamber of Commerce may have to support it's own newsletter and operations? You do know that the city does have limited finances, and that all services should go out to competitive bid. Or do you not support free enterprize, and the Free Market?
Just what do you stand for other than wanting to know who the Gate Keeper is at the http://grandterracenews.blogspot.com? Yes many of the views are from people who speak at the City Council Meeting. Many of those people in the past are just "duly noted" and brushed aside. Well, if your name calling in this venue has a right to exist, then their issues and opinions have a right to be memorialized in the aformentioned blog.
My ancestry is not related to a donkey and my intelect is a bit higher than the standard you attach to me. Calling a citizen or citizens terrorists is suggesting that the blog and or gate keeper have suggested violence or criminal acts in regard to any individual or responce to any issue. That is a pure and simple falsehood.
The election is over. Making this new Council and City Manager work for the city, and citizens is the only desire of the http://GrandTerraceNews.Blogspot.com. Sure how we define this is opinion, we try to base that on review of the facts and documents.
This continued effort to find or define who is Grand Pa Terrace is a waste of your talent, and time. If the GrandTerraceNews.blogspot.com is not covering a "Good" story, you do it... go ahead, it is a free blog.
So who did you support Sally McGuire, Doug Wilson, or De De Sternburg? Are you helping them now with this type of posting?

Family Homes???? For crying out loud! The woman DID NOT LIVE AT THE HOUSE HERSELF when the offer was made! The offer was made at a very good price when the market was on a down turn and she would have made some good money! Her stubborn refusals have dragged us into this thing well beyond what it should have taken and you think she is some kind of martyr?!

And seeing as how you, or should I say a very prominent member of the Gramps organization, orchestrated the whole thing it should be well within your power to get through what you have been wanting for some time now. However, the horse trading that went on for votes, the Council Seat shopping and the favors promised aren't quite as 'secret' as you think or are hoping. More to come on that later, I'm just saying.
Jim himself raised the issue and wanted clarification, and he never... NEVER hid anything about the transactions. Unlike the actions of other City Employees and former Council Members.
ReplyDeleteThe threatending of the use of Eminent Domaine was not limited to One Individual, all homes were aquired under such threats. In addition it should not matter if the home owner or family member was living in the home at the time or not. It was a home owned for a long time in one family, thus making it a family home. Gramps horrible "Opinion" is that Eminent Domaine should not be used except for the purpose of building PUBLIC Roads, or PUBLIC Buildings and not for Private Development. Yes I know the Kelso Decision of the Supreme Court ruled against my "Opinion". I am still allowed an Opinion.
I think that the city's use of the threat should have been known long before other's had surrendered. I think the city should not be in the development business. Yes standing up for property right, hers and yours and mine does make her a hero not a martyr. What she does with that property and when she does it is and should be her right to determine. If she sold it tomarrow to Jack Brown, that is ok with me that is her choice.
The suggestion that Gramps Hates anyone is excessive inflation of the communicated ideas and opinions on the hhtp://GrandTerraceblogspot.com page.
